What to Pack Ahead of Your Next Beach Holiday

Everybody loves a trip to somewhere warm with white beaches. For a lot of us, it has been a while since we have been able to venture out and enjoy the hot weather in a different country. Beach holidays just feel different to other holidays and it is impossible to match the feeling of relaxation that you get from them.

If it has been a while since you had the chance to venture off into a beach holiday, then you may have forgotten all of the things that you need to bring. We all know just how annoying it can be trying to find these missing items when you are in a country that you are not familiar with. This is why it is crucial that you remember to pack all of the things before you go, as this will save you a lot of stress and hassle when you are enjoying your vacation.

If it has been a while since you have last been on holiday, you may be worried about forgetting some important items. Don’t worry, we have compiled a list of what you need to pack for your next beach holiday so that you don’t forget.

Sun Cream

Sun cream is a must-have for when you are heading on a beach holiday. Without sun cream, you could get seriously burned, which could really ruin your holiday. Not only is getting sunburn extremely painful, but it is also very damaging to your skin. You cannot recover from a lot of skin damage and so it is important that you prevent any damage from happening at all.

Depending on where you are travelling from, there are restrictions on the number of liquids that you can take with you. This may be a problem if you plan on a long trip, but there are solutions for it. Speaking from personal experience, when I went on my honeymoon I knew I was going to be away for a month and would not be able to bring enough sun cream for my very sensitive skin. Before heading to the sandal resort that I was staying in, I called up and asked if they had sun cream available for me to use when I arrived. To my surprise, they said that they can offer sun cream throughout my stay, which made me grateful that I took the time to really research best sandals resort for honeymoon, as I do not believe I would have had the same response from the other resorts that I considered.

A Beach Towel

A lot of people make the mistake of thinking that they can depend on their hotel towels when heading to the beach. If you are heading to a resort, they are usually more than happy to allow you to take their towels to the beach, but hotel towels are never big enough. When you are lying on the beach, you want to ensure that there is a barrier between you and the sand. This is why you need to bring a beach towel with you, as this is designed to be the perfect length for lying down and enjoying the sunny days.

If you are travelling light and you do not feel as though you have room for a beach towel, you will be glad to know that most beachside stores keep them in stock for tourists, so you need not worry too much.

Bring Plenty of Socks

When you are having a beach holiday, you can expect to encounter a lot of sand. What you will quickly realise is that this sand will get absolutely everywhere. It is likely that most of the time you will be walking around without shoes on, so you can easily wash off on those occasions. However, the rest of the time you will be walking around in trainers or shoes, which will require you to wear socks. These socks can quickly be filled with sand and there is nothing worse than walking around all day with sand in your socks.

For this reason, it is recommended that you overpack on socks. Socks take up very little space in your suitcase and so you will not have to worry about making sacrifices to other items that you would like to buy.

Bring a Spare Pair of Sunglasses

When you are on holiday in a sunny location, it is likely that drinks will be flowing. There is something about the sunny weather that really puts you in the mood for a fruity cocktail. With drinking comes getting drunk, and when we are drunk we become a lot more careless with our objects.

When you are on a beach holiday, bringing a pair of UV protected sunglasses is an absolute must. In hotter countries, it can be sunny until late in the evening which means that your eyes are at constant risk. When you are drinking all day and trying brand new experiences, then it can be easy to lose something. The last thing that you want to lose is your sunglasses, as they are what protect you throughout the day. However, due to the fact they are lightweight and spend most of the time on your head, they are usually the first thing that you lose.

Bringing a spare pair means that you won’t have to worry about losing your others and spending some of your holiday money on a new pair.
